A little about me
I am a scenic designer passionate about live performance in arts and entertainment! I was born in Mexico, where I started my career in theatre, and later migrated to the States. I have been designing around the world, merging traditional and experimental, and incorporating international practices to my design aesthetic. I won the Gold Medal at World Stage Design 2017 in Taiwan; I was featured at the International Biennale of Architecture in Argentina; I was a keynote speaker at Stage | Set | Scenery in Germany, and have represented the US and Mexico in ten Countries. I run the scenic design grad program at the University of Texas in Austin and I am the Chief Editor at Skene.pub.
