Chicago is a darkly comic musical set in the roaring 1920s, following Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly—two ambitious women who commit murder and use the media circus to transform themselves into celebrities. With the help of slick lawyer Billy Flynn, they spin their crimes into sensational headlines, revealing a world where fame is manufactured, justice is performative, and everything is a show. Known for its sharp satire, jazz-infused score, and iconic choreography, Chicago exposes the glittering, cynical heart of American showbiz.
