The death of a soccer player, a figure consecrated by the media, triggers the emotional complexity of the seven characters in this text. Three scenes, connected by the various facets of fanaticism towards an absent protagonist, reveal an intelligent mechanism of the imaginary projections of a society influenced by ideals forged in the consumer society: a reflection and confrontation of one’s own heart with the foreign, unattainable, and sublimated identity by popularity.

“Hitler in the Heart” is a metaphor that heralds a world in a state of decay, a metaphor that comes to life through characters who break, collapse, and die during the three scenes of this play, raising the flags of individualism, consumerism, the perverse manipulation of the media, and above all, capitalism as an entity that spreads through all channels of transmission until it causes our own destruction.
