The Artist Provocateur, Ep.13 – BANKSY (video)

Banksy is a pseudonymous street artist and political activist known for his thought-provoking and often satirical artworks. While his real identity remains unknown, Banksy’s impact on the contemporary art world is profound.

Active since the 1990s, Banksy rose to fame for his distinctive stenciled works that address social and political issues. His art often appears in public spaces, challenging traditional notions of gallery presentation. Banksy gained international recognition for pieces such as “Girl with a Balloon” and “The Flower Thrower.”

The artist’s anonymity has added to the intrigue surrounding his work, and his thought-provoking pieces have garnered attention for their commentary on topics like war, capitalism, and societal norms. Banksy’s ability to use art as a medium for social critique has made him a cultural icon and a prominent figure in the world of street art and activism.
